Client Background: A large supermarket chain in Indonesia, established in the 1990s, with over 1,500 stores nationwide, covering major cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, and Bandung, employing over 80,000 people. Its annual sales consistently rank among the top in Indonesia's retail industry, making it one of the country's most influential supermarket brands.
Scale of Use: The supermarket chain has cumulatively used over 9,000 ABS commercial equipment units across its stores.
Project History: Indonesia is located in the tropics, experiencing high temperatures and rainfall year-round, with extremely high humidity, and frequent rainy seasons in some areas. Supermarket entrances and exits are frequently opened, exposing the equipment to a humid, hot, and dusty environment for extended periods.
To address these challenges, we collaborated with the client to complete multiple rounds of high-temperature and high-humidity, dustproof, and continuous operation stress tests. We also integrated an electronic POS authentication module compliant with the Indonesian Directorate General of Taxation (DGT) requirements into the equipment, ensuring seamless integration with the client's ERP system. The prototype underwent six months of on-site verification in multiple stores, demonstrating high system stability.
Both parties formally signed a large-scale order for over 9,000 ABS commercial equipment units. Through this long-term partnership, we have helped the supermarket continuously optimize its store operational efficiency, established a deep strategic partnership, and thereby expanded the possibility of future cooperation in other retail markets in Southeast Asia.
