Korean stores

Client Background: A large South Korean supermarket chain, established in the 1990s, with over 1,300 stores nationwide, covering major cities such as Seoul, Busan, Incheon, and Daegu, employing over 70,000 people. Its annual sales consistently rank among the top in the South Korean retail industry, making it one of the country's most influential supermarket brands.

Scale of Use: The supermarket chain has over 8,000 ABS commercial equipment units in its stores.

Project History: South Korea has four distinct seasons, with cold, dry winters (temperatures reaching -15°C) and hot, rainy summers (high humidity during the rainy season). Supermarket entrances and exits are frequently opened, exposing equipment to constant temperature fluctuations and dust. Furthermore, the checkout counters are used extremely frequently, placing stringent requirements on the equipment's dustproof, low-temperature resistance, moisture resistance, and stability during long-term continuous operation.

To address these challenges, we collaborated with the client to complete multiple rounds of high and low temperature, dustproof, moisture-proof, and continuous operation stress tests. We also integrated an electronic POS tax module compliant with the National Tax Service of Korea (NTS) requirements into the equipment, ensuring seamless integration with the client's ERP system. The prototype underwent six months of on-site testing at multiple stores, demonstrating high levels of system stability.

In 2025, both parties formally signed a large-scale order for over 8,000 ABS commercial equipment units. Through this long-term collaboration, we helped the supermarket continuously optimize its store operational efficiency, established a strong strategic partnership, and thereby expanded potential for future cooperation in other retail markets in East Asia.
